Find the YouTube videos that beat their own channel. Then see why.
Free YouTube outlier finder for Chrome
Outvyr puts a badge on every video on YouTube showing how many times its channel's usual views it got. One click opens the video's first 30 seconds and what its viewers ask for. No login. Nothing leaves your browser.
“Why do 99% of small channels never pass 5,000 views, even when their editing is better than the big creators?”
What it does
Outlier badges where you browse
Home, Search, channel pages and the sidebar next to the video. Each badge compares the video with the median of its channel's recent uploads, read from the channel's own page. A 12x video from a small channel is a topic that works.
The first 30 seconds, written out
Press Dissect under any video. Outvyr reads its real captions and shows the opening hook, the speaking speed and a pacing timeline, ready to copy or export as .md / .srt.
What viewers are asking for
The comments loaded on the page are sorted into questions, complaints and "part 2" requests, plus the timestamps people keep quoting. Each one is a video idea.
Filter the page by winners
Show only 3x+ or 10x+ videos, small channels, or the last 30 days, and sort the page by multiplier or views per hour.
Alerts when a channel has a hit
Watch the channels in your niche. Every few hours Outvyr checks their new uploads and tells you when one is already beating that channel's typical views, while the topic is still fresh. Pro.
Saved videos
Save outliers while you browse and export your list to CSV for your content plan.
Private by design
No Google login, no channel access, no tracking. Everything is computed in your browser. Privacy policy.

Questions
How is the multiplier calculated?
Views of the video divided by the median views of the channel's recent long-form uploads, read from the channel's public /videos page and cached for 24 hours. When a channel page can't be read, Outvyr estimates from the other videos on screen and marks the score as an estimate.
Why does Dissect need me to open the video?
YouTube only gives captions to its own player. Outvyr reads them through the player on the video page, so press Dissect under the video. Videos without captions have no transcript.
Does it work on Shorts?
Badges and Dissect are built for long-form videos. Shorts are skipped.
Can I turn the scores off on some pages?
Yes. Open the Outvyr panel, click the gear: scores on Home, Search, channel pages and next to a video each have their own switch, and so do the filter bar and the bar under the video.
Something isn't working
YouTube changes its pages often. Outvyr notices when it can't read a page and says so. In the panel, Settings → "Copy report" copies a short list of recent errors (no key, no email, no watch history) that you can paste into an email to us.
How do channel alerts work?
Press Watch on a video's score card. About every 6 hours, while Chrome is open, Outvyr reads the Videos tab of each watched channel (the public page, like visiting it yourself) and adds an alert when an upload from the last week already has 3x+ that channel's typical views. The count shows on the Outvyr icon. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Monthly or yearly?
Monthly is $9 and you can stop any time, good for a short research sprint. Yearly is $39, the price of a bit more than four months. Both unlock the same Pro.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from Polar's customer portal (linked in your receipt email).
